Description
BHIC–103 provides information about the Indian societies and cultures prevalent in ancient times. This semester-II subject covers Indian history between 200 BCE to 300 CE, the Sungas and Kushanas, regional powers, Deccan and Tamilakam, trade networks and urbanisation, the Gupta Empire, and the Harsha Empire. BHIC–103 also sheds light on the trade, urbanisation, women’s status, crafts, craft persons, religions, and religious practices during early medieval India. Its curriculum includes cultural developments, languages, literature, sculpture, architecture, science, technology, economy, environment, forests, and water resources.
