The minimum period of the B.Ed. course duration is two years, and the maximum period is five years.

IGNOU B.Ed. eligibility criteria are

1. At least 50% marks scored in bachelor degree or master degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or B.E. or technology specialization in Maths and science must have 55% score.
2. Trained in-service only can apply for this course. Trained in-service accounts to a teacher who is currently working in a school after completing NCTE recognized face-to-face teacher education program.

Assignments play a major role in this program. Your learning process will be evaluated by IGNOU only using the assignments. So, students must complete and submit the assignment within the deadline at their study center.

The university will calculate the PCP i.e. personal contact program on Saturdays and Sundays in the study center.

The university conducts the B.Ed. theory exam in December for January session candidates, and the practical exams are conducted via workshops and internship programs in the study centers.

So, the final score consists of both theory and practical exam marks. The students must score at least a D grade in each course to earn a degree.

Remember, all the aspirants must take an entrance exam to pursue a B.Ed. course.
