Best Design Format for IGNOU MTM Project to Score Distinction

Length of the Project: It is a wrong notion among students that a lengthy project brings distinction. The fact is that there is a prescribed page limit for a project. And a student gets penalized if the length of the pages is exceeded or does not reach the prescribed page limit.
Your project report should be around 100 pages typed in double space. The report should be an A4 size sheet.

• Title Part: Contrary to popular belief prevailing among the students, the title part of a project just does not comprise the name, address, year, and enrollment number of the student. Along with these, this part must contain a Certificate, Acknowledgement, and Table of Contents.
• Introduction: This section not only contains the introduction of the problem, as most of the students think. This section must find a prominent mention of the topic, what it is all about, how did it evolve, and the reasons why the researcher picked this topic. Along with these, this section should also contain the purpose and rationale of the research.
• Review of the Literature: This section must contain the collective works done by the earlier researchers that are available in books, articles, journals, etc. If you do not write all these and mention how they helped you generate ideas for your research work, you may miss the distinction.
• Significance: As the title suggests, this section of your project should contain the purpose of conducting a particular project.
• Objective /Hypothesis: You should not miss to mentioning section while preparing your IGNOU MTM Project. In this section, write the main objectives or purpose of the research. Also, provide a hypothesis. The Hypothesis happens to be a tentative statement about the cause and effect relationship between the independent and dependent variables.
• Methodology: This section should include samples, Tests/Tools, and Statistical Analysis. Tests/ tools should be selected based on the objectives of the research. The data collected with the help of the tests/ tools are then analyzed by using appropriate statistical techniques. Writing a good methodology is a must-have inclusion for scoring distinction in IGNOU MTM Project.
• Result and Discussion: This section of your MTM Project should contain the findings of the research after the statistical analysis of data is presented in tabular and graphical form. Mind, you must mention the implications of your findings here. If you fall short of what is expected out of this section, the chances are that you will fall short of your expected marks(distinction).
