Help?IGNOU stands for Indira Gandhi National Open University which was established for providing distance education and as it is an open university everyone has access to apply to these university courses. The university provides both the offline and online modes for the admission process and hastily the details fill for subject/course/medium or later the candidate wants to change the previous preferences, it is very likely to change them with few specific confinements.
How To Change Ignou Subject/Course/Medium?
HOW TO CHANGE IGNOU SUBJECT:
- The changes can be made only within 30 days of receiving the receipt of the first set of IGNOU study material.
- The candidates have to entreat this requisition for changing of subject to the concerned Regional Center.
- The extra fee of Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses or Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses is to be paid for Under Graduate Course.
- For the Master Degree course, the fee is Rs. 500 per 2 or 4 credit course and Rs. 1000 for 6 or 8 credit courses.
- Payment should be made through a demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.
HOW TO CHANGE THE COURSE OR PROGRAMME?
- For the Under Graduate Course, if a candidate wants to change course/program from BA to B.com/BTS/BSW or vice versa or B.com to BA/BTS/BSW or vice versa, it is permitted only within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission.
- The candidate has to make a payment of Rs. 500 plus Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses while Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses.
- For the change of course from BA/B.com to BTS/BSW, there is a difference of fee that is Rs. 500 to be added to the fee stated above.
- No change is permitted from BA/B.com/BTS/BSW to B.Sc.
- For Master Degree Course, the change of program or course is only applicable in the first year of study within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission.
- The candidate has to pay the full course fee again, even if the fees have been paid before for the previous program or course.
- The candidate has to apply for the change in the program through the Regional Centre.
- Payment should be made by demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.
HOW TO CHANGE THE MEDIUM?
- Change of medium is permitted within 30 days from receiving the receipt of the first set of IGNOU study material.
- The candidate has to pay Rs. 300 plus Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses and Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses for Under Graduate Course.
- For Master Degree Course, the payable fee is Rs. 300 plus Rs. 500 per 2 or 4 credit courses and Rs. 1000 per 6 or 8 credit courses.
- The candidate has to request the concerned Regional Centre only. Payment should be made by demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.
The candidates are requested to fill out the application form exactly and correctly and should verify the details before submitting the application form to the Regional Centre. Once the submission of the application form is done to the Regional Centre for the change of subject, course or medium then the candidates can track the status on the IGNOU Admission Status page. Keeping track will update you about the current status like change is accepted by the Regional Centre or not.
